Benefits of a Car Charger

Installing a dedicated circuit for your Fast Charger is a great way to charge your battery faster. The Tesla fast charger will charge your battery from 10-80% within 20 to 30 minutes. The standard charger that plugs directly into a standard power point will take you 4-8 hours to charge your battery completely.

What is an EV Charger?

It is a device you install within your home , office or garage that plugs directly into your car, so you can conveniently charge your vehicle from home without leaving. On our end we run a cable from the switchboard to the location of the charger that you can determine. The circuit is protected by a safety switch to comply with AS3000 rulings and keep everything up to code. They save you time on charging compared to the standard supplied charger that can take up to 20-24 hours to get to a full battery.

Different Types of EV Chargers

The main 3 different types of Car chargers are:

Standard wall point charger: These plug directly into a power point and work well but only charge at a slow speed. These are fine for owners that only drive a small distance each day but a fast charger is definitely recommended for most owners as an easy quick way to charge your vehicle.

Single Phase fast charger: These are a step up from the standard charger that is supplied from Tesla and charge at a very fast rate, and can supply 7.4kw of power.

Three phase fast charger: These are the fastest of the three charging options, but your house or office must have three phase power coming into your house to have this installed. It is possible to have new three phase mains installed into your property but is at a cost to the homeowner.
